On October 14, WEREEN invited Teacher Zhang from the Safety and Health Education Network to deliver a health science popularization lecture aimed at enhancing employees' health literacy and advocating the concept that "preventing disease is better than treating it." Teacher Zhang provided in-depth explanations on emergency rescue skills, the hazards of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and non-pharmacological therapies, offering employees scientific and practical health management solutions.

In the section on emergency rescue skills, Teacher Zhang focused on the "Golden 4 Minutes" principle of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), emphasizing the risk of rapid brain cell death following cardiac arrest. He demonstrated in detail the correct position, depth, and frequency for chest compressions and introduced the standard operating procedures for using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Regarding the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, Teacher Zhang pointed out that the "Four Highs"—including hypertension and hyperlipidemia—are major high-risk factors leading to vascular hardening and plaque formation, posing serious threats to life and health. He stressed that prevention outweighs treatment, urging employees to pay attention to their physical examination indicators and reduce the risk of onset by improving their lifestyle habits.

During the Ischemic Preconditioning training session, employees personally experienced the physiological responses caused by limb ischemia-reperfusion, gaining an intuitive understanding of its protective effects on vascular health. Teacher Zhang explained the principle behind this training: it stimulates the secretion of substances such as nitric oxide within the body and promotes the establishment of collateral circulation, thereby serving as a partial alternative to medication.

In the demonstration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupoint regulation, Teacher Zhang guided employees in locating key acupoints such as the Jianjing acupoint. Participants actively tried pressing these points and experiencing physiotherapy devices, resulting in lively interaction and allowing them to tangibly feel the immediate effects of TCM meridian dredging.
